Intro to Sewing
Intro to Sewing is a fun and hands-on enrichment class designed for young learners ages 6-12 who are eager to explore the world of sewing! In this beginner-friendly class, students will learn the basics of sewing, from hand-stitching simple projects to using a sewing machine. Whether they’ve never threaded a needle or are looking to sharpen their skills, this course offers a creative and supportive environment for every young sewist.
Throughout the class, students will start with simple sewing techniques, including how to thread a needle, sew basic stitches, and use a sewing machine. Along the way, they’ll work on fun projects and build confidence in their sewing abilities while learning essential skills like pattern reading, fabric selection, and the importance of safety when working with sewing tools.
By the end of the course, students will have completed their own handmade projects and be ready to take on even more advanced sewing challenges in the future!
